I have arrived at my destination this afternoon, The Famous Spa, for my Moroccan Bath ritual. This is my very first Moroccan Bath and I have very little idea what to expect! Is someone gonna bathe for me? Hmmm…

It is such a pretty place with every beauty service a woman can think of!image

I am changed into a bath robe and ushered into this gorgeous marbled bathroom filled with rose petals. I am loving it already. First I was showered by the trained Moroccan bath specialist from Morocco in this beautiful mosaic steam room and black olive soap was applied to my whole body to soften my skin to aid easy removal of dead skin.

Next I was placed on a slab of marble lying flat and she used a special Moroccan loofah glove to scrub my entire body using strong and long strokes. I could visibly see dead skins all coming off my body!!! That was so enlightening!

My hair was given a good wash and a luxurious treatment while my body was being cleansed. Next a mask made of black clay from the Dead Sea was applied to my body and white clay mask that Moroccan brides used to whiten their faces was applied to my face.

This ritual is 2 hours long and I enjoyed it so much, it was literally like Mommy was bathing me as a child. I feel so pampered! My favourite part is this, the ritual ended with pure Moroccan honey applied all over my face and body. I was licking the honey off as I waited for my skin to fully absorb all the goodness!

Finally a blend of the most fragrant flowers in a shower gel was used to rinse everything off before I proceed for a relaxing massage.

What a wonderful experience this is! Most amazing and I recommend that every woman should experience this at least once in their life. I am so hooked. I wish I could do this all over! xoxo
